What ProSeen is for

ProSeen is for real professionals presenting real work so that real opportunities can find them. Everything that supports that is welcome. Everything that corrodes trust in what people see here is not.

Not allowed on ProSeen

  • Impersonation. Presenting yourself as another person or organization, or using a name, photo or brand that is not yours to use.
  • False credentials. Inventing or inflating qualifications, certifications, licences, experience or professional metrics. This is the fastest way to lose a ProSeen page.
  • Fake social proof. Fabricated testimonials, invented client results, purchased reviews.
  • Scams and deception. Fraudulent offers, phishing, bait pages, misleading services, get-rich schemes.
  • Spam and manipulation. Bulk-created pages, keyword-stuffed junk, link schemes, attempts to game search or the directory.
  • Harassment and hate. Attacks on people or groups, threats, or content that exists to demean.
  • Illegal content and services. Anything that breaks the law, promotes illegal activity, or offers services the provider is not legally permitted to offer.
  • Infringing content. Work, images or text that belongs to someone else, used without permission.
  • Harmful technical behavior. Malware, attempts to break or probe the platform, scraping private data, or abusing other users' information.

How enforcement works

  1. Report. Every public page has a report option. Anyone can use it, with or without an account.
  2. Review. A human reviews the report against these standards.
  3. Action. Outcomes range from no action, to a required fix, to unpublishing, to account suspension. Serious cases (fraud, impersonation, illegal content) skip the gentle steps.
  4. Appeal. If your content was actioned and you believe we got it wrong, reply to the notice you received and a person will take a second look.

We would always rather help someone fix a page than remove it. But when trust and safety compete with growth, trust and safety win.
